Strawberry Mango Basil Salad

Here’s a light salad for you to try. This strawberry mango basil salad is topped with gorgonzola and pistachio for a healthy sweet and salty treat that will compliment your summer dinners.

It’s a great way to use up a lot of your basil and to add some fruits and herbs to your diet. I topped it with a balsamic vinaigrette to keep things light and the focus on the main ingredients.

Feel free to sub a different cheese for the gorgonzola, though I do love gorgonzola as its deep flavor offsets the sweetness of the fruit in a really nice way. If you were to change out the cheese, I’d pick feta or blue cheese. Both are decent substitutions.

Strawberry Mango Basil Salad

The perfect summer salad with a blend of strawberry and mango, basil and gorgonzola cheese!


  • 1 c mango, chopped
  • 2 1/4 c strawberries
  • 1/3 c fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 T gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 T toasted pistachios
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 T balsamic vinegar
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt


  1. Mix mangoes, strawberries and basil together.
  2. Top with gorgonzola and pistachios.
  3. In a small bowl whisk together oil, vinegar, sugar and salt until thickened.
  4. Drizzle over the salad.
