Muscat Grape Salad w. Maple-Muscat Dressing

We have been eating grapes non-stop lately – tis the season, after all. I made this awesome grape salad the other day – a simple combination of lettuce, feta and a heavy dose of grapes. I created a maple-vinegar dressing to go along with it for a contrast in flavor. We loved it. Grapes aren’t exactly the most versatile fruit out there – but they make great toppers for salad. I’ve used them in combination with strawberries, mangoes, kiwi, pretty much every other fruit out there as an addition to my salads. This salad uses my favorite variety – muscato grapes. They have a deep, sweet flavor unlike any other variety which is why they make an amazing wine (Bartenura’s in the blue bottle is my all-time fave). And yes, I have gotten laughed at when I list muscato wine as my favorite wine. Anyone else a muscato lover?

Yumm!! I don’t do too much with incorporating grapes into recipes, but it sounds really good in a salad. I usually eat green grapes, but these muscato grapes sound intriguing!
Ah yes, that’s always tricky. I always go a little crazy when I drop a grape. Poor dog gets the “No!” before he can even make a move to go after it 🙂
