TAZO chai latte K cup: a sweet and spicy blend

By now you all know that I live in the middle-of-nowhere-farm-fields-everywhere central Pennsylvania. All I need is a pickup truck, Doc Martins, and a baseball cap that reads John Deere and I’d fit right in. Obviously, hipster coffee shops are few and far in between and even still, the closest is about a 20 minute drive. (Edit: we do have one in our town. Super adorable but they don’t know how to make coffee very well. I keep holding out hope that someday they’ll get the hang of it). But even the [good] hipster shops in our ultra-rural area want to charge NYC prices for beverages that may or may not be made to perfection, depending on who the barista was that day. Chai lattes are always a hit or a miss.

Enter K-Cup® pods. Man’s greatest invention. Beverages are ready in minutes, full of flavor and all brewed to consistent perfection. Our new favorite is TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods. A and I are both obsessed with chai. I think he was the first one to discover it and I hesitantly kept a distance for a while until he convinced me to try it. I realized I was missing out. We drink it at least once a week during winter on cold evenings and will have it occasionally after dinner amidst the scorching heat of summer.

With the latest and greatest chai latte K-Cup® pods, however, we can enjoy chai latte even on days where we have to hit the door in a rush of our typical lateness and especially on relaxing and lazy mornings when neither one of us feels like brewing a pot. I always like a small bite to go with my tea, in this case, plain biscuits and per my usual morning routine, a few minutes of IG time.   The flavor in this tea is a blend of spicy and sweet, just as a perfect cup of chai should be. It’s a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla and it’s aromatic and soothing. Each pod brews best at the largest cup setting but for a deeper and more concentrated flavor, try brewing on the medium setting.

One last thing…the TAZO® Chai Latte collection also features a caramel latte in addition to the classic chai. I highly recommend both – they are equally delicious! Happy Friday!
