Ruggedly French: Plaid Skirt, Beret and City Boots
**sponsored by zappos**
We drove down to North Carolina last week because A wanted to attend a furniture trade show in the furniture capital of the USA: High Point. There’s really nothing to do in the area so I took the pups on a hike while he visited a few vendors’ booths and then we went out to dinner with friends in the area. On our way back, we opted for the Blue Ridge Parkway, a scenic countryside route that runs from Virginia into North Carolina. BRP has various stopping points along the route and so we decided to pull off at a couple of them. I was dressed in a fun French beret, plaid skirt and my new Merrell city boots from Zappos. These ankle boots are extremely light and made of real leather and it’s fun to see them paired with various styles. Think denim and a sweatshirt or shorts and a sweater or a scarf and puffer jacket! They’re so versatile.
I’m not sure if you all are familiar with Zappos but they always have a great selection of items to choose from and they have lightening-fast free shipping. Besides the Merrell city boots, I also grabbed a pair of Merrell waterproof ankle boots seen below. They’re extremely comfortable and perfect for petite people like me who like a little heel on their shoes. If you’re looking for a tall version of the boots, they also have that option available as well. Merrell prides themselves on comfort and they do a great job executing that. Also, if you’re wondering why I’m wearing a beret in each photo, it’s because I can’t seem to take them off. They seem to French-ize every outfit and this Paris-missing girl is loving it. Berets are definitely IN right now so grab one for the season!
