Most Instagrammable Places in Manchester England
I’m always looking for the best photo spots in every city I visit. Sometimes I like to just wander and see what I run into but other times I like to have a flexible itinerary, something I can look at while I’m walking about. This travel guide on the most instagrammable places in Manchester isn’t meant to replace your wander and lost-filled visit but hopefully will be something you keep in the back of your mind as you’re touring the city.
I was so impressed by the number of beautiful interiors in Manchester. I usually don’t seek out interiors while I’m traveling but it was so easy in this city. I’ve included a map of all the places below. Walking time is around 35 minutes not including the minutes you’ll be stopping to take photos or grab a bite to eat.
If you want to combine Manchester with another UK city, then check out this guide for a London and Manchester weekend itinerary.

Best Places for Photography in Manchester England
Refuge by Volta – Start your tour at the Refuge, a restaurant with different spaces like the dining room or the winter garden. The Refuge is one of the top places in Manchester for interior shots and it is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite space was probably the winter garden.

King Street Townhouse – You need a keycard to get up to the pool but you can also get a great view from the rooftop bar. Make sure to check availability before you go!

Barton Arcade – Another great place to visit if you’re looking for interior shots. The ceilings are vaulted glass which allows a lot of light in. Don’t forget to peek into the Barber Barber, the quaint barber shop on the ground level.
Paramount Bookstore – I’m not a bookstore lover typically but this was a cute facade to photograph. It’s on your way to other photogenic spots in the Northern Quarter so it’s worth a quick stop.

Mackie Mayor – Mackie Mayor has plenty of photo ops. Try shooting the interior from different angles, upstairs looking down, ground level looking towards the vendors, etc. By the way, this is a restaurant so grab a bite while you’re there!

Deadstock – This general store has the cutest paint job. If you love pink, you’ll want to snap a few photos of this facade.

Northern Flower – If you’re looking for a cute flower shop, then Northern Flower is your answer. Even in March they had the sidewalk decked out in a wide array of flowers.

Evelyn’s Cafe Bar – This coffee shop has it all: plants, books, a brick wall and cute seating. And they have latte art so that’s an added plus for anyone planning on latte shots.

I absolutley love your photos!
Thanks so much Jane!
