Grilled Ham & Pineapple Chicken Burgers
Happy Wednesday from PA – we’re finally back after a few wonderful and amazing days at the beach. We ate a ton, went to the beach and relaxed with A’s grandmother. The Long Beach/Ocean Grove area is beautiful and we loved every minute. (Remember to check out Instagram for tons of pictures from the trip!)

Summer always puts us on a burger kick. We use the grill a few times each week and if we’re not grilling meats, we’re grilling vegetables. Grilled vegetables are a hundred times tastier than stove/oven-cooked vegetables (except for maybe this recipe) and so I have a tendency to want to grill everything.
Like today’s burger condiments. Grilled ham and pineapple top this BBQ slathered chicken burger, making the tastiest chicken burger combo. Be sure to use a high-quality BBQ sauce (or your favorite) – Weber is great as is Annies Organics. I especially like these because they don’t contain high fructose corn syrup and tend to be more basic in their ingredients than your typical BBQ sauce.
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
Grill ham and pineapple slices for a few minutes, about 2 minutes per side until heated through and top each chicken/roll with 2 pineapple slices and one ham slice.
Serve with BBQ sauce on the side
*for a sweeter BBQ sauce, simmer 1/4 c sauce with 1/4 c pineapple juice until thickened.
