Greek Food: Tzatziki Sauce

Greek Food Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

One of my favorite Greek foods is a gyro – tender meat served with lettuce, tomato and best of all tzatziki sauce. I’m sure you’ve all experienced this surge of goodness at one point or another and know exactly what I’m talking about. There’s something about tzatziki sauce that can make the most mediocre of foods, amazing. I could eat it plain (literally), on a salad, in a sandwich, you name it.

It’s probably an unhealthy obsession.

The main problem I’ve had with the sauce is not knowing how to make it. I’ve tried hundreds (not literally) of recipes and I couldn’t seem to find one that clicked.

They were good. Just not local Greek restaurant good.

The secret? Sour cream.

I didn’t say it was healthy 🙂
