Fall Patterns: Plaid + Houndstooth
I came across this scarf recently at TJ Maxx – I thought it was a unique and very convenient way to combine two of the most popular fall patterns, houndstooth and plaid. I actually wore the houndstooth side out for our family photo sesh and flipped it to reveal a mixture of the two for these outfit shots. You really can’t go wrong with plaid or houndstooth this time of year and I love the addition of red. I’ve been looking for a red bag for ages now and have been having trouble finding one I love that is within my price range. I don’t know if you guys remember me asking if you thought it would be weird if I bought my cobalt bag in red. So after reading all your assurances that I wasn’t crazy and waiting a few months for good measure, I decided to stop obsessing and just buy the bag already. I figured the wait would have eliminated any possible impulsive buying and would have allowed me to really mull things over. Anyways, weird or not, I love this bag and I don’t regret having two of the same!

Okay, I love plaid and houndstooth both, and to see them together is a match made in heaven! It makes sense that they’d look good together. I think it’s totally normal to have the same bag in different colors. It’s a classic purse, and I’ve always loved the cobalt one, so I think you’ll get a ton of use out of it!
That is a great combination – hounds tooth / plaid! I love the red bag and can’t really tell that it’s the same as your blue one. The red color with gold details makes the bag look like a completely new hand bag.
