Fall Fashion: Over The Knee Boots

I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of flat knee high boots for a while now – I own a few high heeled ones but sometimes a girl needs a break. These are perfect. I actually prefer that they come up over my knees, even though I wasn’t looking for over the knee boots at the time. But when I tried them on, they were a great fit. Someone asked me if they were comfortable and my answer was definitely. At the same time, I had actually ordered a pair of Steve Madden boots and trying one boot on from each pair simultaneously made me realize the comfort level of the Charles David pair. (The sole was softer and not as stiff.) If you can’t find your size in the Charles David brand, this Vince Camuto boot is very similar.

The skirt was a recent purchase from TJ Maxx but I’ve seen countless options available through various websites (see the “shop this look” portion below). I never realized how much use I would get out of it but this style is perfect with a sweater or a blazer. Since this is more of a trendy skirt, I chose to go with the cheaper faux leather option.

If you’re wondering where these were taken, they were shot near the Potomac River in Alexandria – a beautiful little spot outside the city. Alexandria is a must-do (even for a day trip) if you’re ever in DC. But then again, I’m kind of partial to this city :)

As always, thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful day!
