If you ever feel like you need coffee but can’t run out to your local coffee dig, you need to try this blended iced almond coffee. My first time experimenting with almond milk and I’m in love. Truth be told, almond milk hasn’t enticed me in the past because of all the additives that most brands add to it. And even though I still haven’t found the perfect brand (this one is the closest so far), I still decided it was worth seeing what all the hype was about. Someday I will make my own. This is a fun morning drink to get your day started – I added some almond butter to it to bring out the nuttiness in the coffee and to add an extra boost of protein. Substituting maple syrup for refined sugar, I blended everything together into one happy iced almond coffee. Just the way I like to celebrate FRIDAY.

DAIRY FREE BLENDED ICED ALMOND COFFEE
Yield: 2-3 servings
1 c brewed coffee
1 c almond milk
2 T almond butter
4 T maple syrup
2-3 c ice cubes
Blend first 4 ingredients together in a Nutri-Bullet or blender. Add ice cubes and blend for a minute. Pour into glasses and serve right away.
