3×3 Style: Colors for Fall 2015
Let me tell you a true story. I shot these outfit shots around 8 am a few days ago. I was sweating. Profusely. I got quite a few confused glances as we were shooting, looks that seemed to question my sanity in being out in anything other than shorts and a tank. Three months ago when Luci, Alyssa and I were debating on what topic we should collaborate on this fine September, none of us dreamed that temperatures would be hovering in the mid-90s today and yesterday and the day before that. However, I know people are itching for fall and magazines are raging full of fall outfits and trends. Which is why we knew it would be fitting to talk about colors for fall – heaven knows parts of the country have already started the season.
Even though I’m always on the lookout for fall color trends (I’m looking at you plum), nothing beats the classics. I’ve paired two classics together in this outfit: olive green and mustard in a very casual fall look. I love these skinnies, especially since they actually hit me right at my ankle. A little trick for those of us who can never find denim that doesn’t drag 4 inches below the shoe: go after ankle denim. It hits at just the right spot… every single time. The mustard bag brings an unexpected pop of color to an otherwise dark look.
Be sure to check out Luci‘s look – she’s paired her olive green jacket with a very chic white on white look. Alyssa has opted for a classic blue stripes and a scarf look that makes me wish we were starting summer all over again.

Calvin Klein wedges (in white/silver)
TJ Maxx ear crawlers
It’s also nice to have a pop of color, especially in a season of darker colors! The wedges are perfect for dealing with the summer heat (that we all seem to be experiencing still)! Definitely glad that I’m not the only way who just had to incorporate a little bit of summer in a fall look 🙂
Love the outfit, its gorgeous and you look lovely too
