I put this blog post together last night and realized that I already miss the beach, especially the warm water and the feel of sand under my feet. It’s been a mix of warm and freezing temperatures here so it’s hard to predict what the weather will be like the next day much less the next week. Right now it’s raining and cold. Ironically, we are headed to Ireland in 2 weeks where I’m sure we will encounter even more rain.

Cruise beachwear is one of my favorite type of clothes to pack. It’s fun to imagine how a certain dress will look floating in the wind or the shots and angles you can get with a wide-brimmed hat. You may think I’m posing in the photo above with both hands “holding” the hat but I assure you, that is no pose. The winds were crazy that day and I was holding it to keep it from flying as evidenced by the hem of my dress. On the other hand, the photo below is 100% a pose. Surprisingly, I don’t have another imminent beach trip planned for 2017. I’m going to have to work on that…
