Bold Lips + A Cropped Trench

I’ve always wanted to try a bright bold red lip but never had the courage or the desire to spend money on something that might look horrible on me. Enter Sephora, the place where all your makeup dreams come true. I was in Sephora a few weeks ago stocking up on eyebrow pencils and the like when lo and behold, while checking out, an angel disguised as a Sephora makeup specialist, hands me two NARS lip pencils because they were having some sort of special. I’m not really sure what it was because I tuned out after I saw it was NARS and they were exactly what I was looking for. I took them home, instantly tried on Cruella De Vil and voila, I fell in love. While I wouldn’t wear this everyday, it’s a great color to dab on for a special occasion and I would highly recommend it for those looking for a bright lip. I have other lip colors by various brands and I would have to say this one glides on the best and I’ll definitely be looking in the NARS section for future lip colors.

In other news…this jacket is back in rotation. I featured it last in London and it’s returned for this fall’s chilly weather. I hope everyone made it through this weekend’s downpours and dreary weather. We (my mom and sisters) enjoyed a fun staycation where we ate, shopped, ate some more and then watched movies. It was perfect.

  1. I think the dark red is easier than the bright red to rock. It’s been easier for me to do the fall bold hues than the ones I started to do this summer. Glad you survived the downpour. It threatened rain this weekend, but didn’t do it, and this weekend is forecasted to be 95-97. UGH!

  2. So loving that bold red lip look on you! I have yet to try the NARS lip products but I have heard so many good things, I just might have to test them out soon! And I love those earrings! The Greeks sure know how to make jewelry…one of my favorite bracelets is also from there!
