Bell Sleeve Cold Shoulder Dress
Photographing outfit shots aboard a ship is surprisingly hard. It’s a shame because there are so many different places to shoot, all with sweeping ocean views or beautiful white and blue backgrounds. But the wind makes it nearly impossible. If it’s not your hair blowing all over your face, it’s your dress flying up, putting on a show for everyone around you in a way you had never planned on (note the shorts I had strategically worn underneath). **Cruise tip: It’s actually not a bad idea to wear shorts underneath all your dresses and skirts, whether you’re going outside or staying in. If it’s not the wind that’ll put you on display, it’ll definitely be the winding stairs which turn even the most modest dress into an eyeful. Even though the wind is a bit of a nuisance, if you are patient and persevere through it (or if you sacrifice a a few minutes while docked), you’ll get some pretty amazing shots. I bought this bell sleeve cold shoulder dress on major clearance just a few weeks ago and was super excited to take it along. I wore it for dinner and loved how soft and comfortable it is. If you’re a boho gal, make sure you browse through this season’s Vava By Joy Han pieces. Most of the brand’s line is bohemian styled, perfect for spring and summer!

I can just imagine how windy it must have been on deck, but your picture are beautiful. And I love the gold embroidered detail on your dress.

Lovely outfit! I really love the dress and shoe combination! A great way to keep down flowy skirts on a windy day is to attach chain weights underneath the hem. I just get them from my local fabric store.
