5 Sweet & Easy Treats to Start the Morning

This post was created in partnership with Ninja Coffee Bar® System. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie
Smoothies are a great way to start your morning. They are one of my favorite breakfast foods and they are SO easy. Take this peanut butter oatmeal smoothie, for example, which tastes more like a dessert than breakfast. Surprisingly, it’s as healthy as it is delicious!

Gluten Free Vegan Almond Energy Bites
Energy bites make great on-the-go snacks and a great replacement for breakfast when you’re in a rush. Make a batch of them and keep them refrigerated in a tupperware until you’re ready to enjoy them! These energy bites are not only gluten free but they are also vegan!

Blueberry Banana Smoothie Bowl
There’s a reason why smoothie bowls are so popular (and it’s not just that they’re naturally photogenic). Smoothie bowls are the Sweet Frog of breakfast. This one has a blueberry banana base with handfuls of toppings: pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, coconut flakes, granola and oats. You could also add nuts, chia seeds, or anything – the sky is the limit!

5 Minute Apple Pie Oatmeal
One of my other favorite breakfast foods is oatmeal. This dish is made of apples, cinnamon, steel cut oats and many other spices to replicate the fall favorite dessert. Oats make a great breakfast and the lightly sweetened dish is perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth cravings. The entire recipe takes about 5 minutes to make – it doesn’t get easier than that!

Homemade Specialty Coffee
As you all are well aware, we live in the countryside where there are no coffee shops around. This is why I prefer brewing my own coffee and making it as fancy as possible at home. Lately I’ve been obsessed with the Ninja Coffee Bar® System, a powerful brewing machine that includes a built-in hot and cold frother and gives you a coffee house experience at home. It has several different brew options from classic to strong and size options from carafe to travel mug to small cup. The coffee bar system comes with a recipe book that’s full of some amazing drinks and recently, I made a delicious cup of Mexican coffee.  It took maybe 1 minute of prepwork and a few minutes of brewing. I topped it with lightly sweetened whipping cream and enjoyed it with some gingerbread cookies. I’ve included a video below of the actual making of the Mexican coffee so be sure to watch it and let me know what you think!

And for some exciting news….the Ninja Coffee Bar® System has been gracious enough to offer 1 of their systems (identical to the one pictured below) for one lucky giveaway winner. Entering is easy: just leave a comment below telling me your favorite coffee drink and like my Facebook page. And then you’ll be entered!

  3. My main go to is McD’s Iced Vanilla Coffee. We are rural & they are the closest establishment when I am coming or going. And they all know our name we are there daily or more. I am redoing the kitchen and so old crap went out the door… replacing with updated. This would be a great package! TY.
