Homemade chocolate milk has been on my recipe to-do list for quite a while now. A loves chocolate milk and I buy it for him occasionally. Most of the time, however, the store-bought chocolate milk contains all sorts of additives and preservatives or it has a “Hershey’s syrup” taste that I’m not a fan of. So one day I decided that I was going to create a recipe for a simple 3 ingredient chocolate milk that takes minutes to make and satisfies the chocolate craving. The key is liquid sugar – liquid sugar is a pantry staple and is perfect for adding sweetness to a recipe without needing to dissolve sugar. Sugar in the Raw carries it (perhaps other brands too) and I find that having it on hand helps a lot. I’ve also used it for iced tea and cold summery beverages.
